thought it wasn't really fantastic afterall. for entertainment i guess it's still worth a watch because we were practically laughing throughout half the movie. Captain Jack Sparrow is freakin funny. and i thought we were the noisest bunch! lol. we were practically asking each other questions abt the movie and all. HAHAH. damn. that's cause i didn't manage to get hold of POTC 1 & 2 dvds as they were all out on rent. urgh. anyway ellyne pangseh-ed us (must let the whole world know. LOL) after the movie when she coincidentally met some of her band friends. and this explains why the following pictures don't have her in them.
tell me, if a picture paints a thousand words, how many would these paint? it's definitely more than 2000words because the friendship & bond we share is so special it can't be expressed in words

i still can't find that song! the first song he sang in the video! AHH! it's quite pathetic to keep going youtube to listen to the song. hahah. anybody uses Limewire (i know it's illegal :X) or has that song pls let me knowww! ): he dances and sings Live which is what makes me like him. and probably other Korean singers or any singer who sings doesn't lip-sync. i respect them. woohoo.
and i'm looking forward to wednesday when i'll be meeting collen, yingli and ellyne. yayy.

bloody hell. i opened the letterbox today only to find myself in a dilemma at the end of the day. NIE/NTU gave me this teaching scholarship/award as a secondary science teacher when they interviewed me for teaching chinese the last time. and MOE's going to pay for the full fees of the 4yr course and i get money every month during the first two years of study alsooo! and i'll be bonded to be a teacher for 4years. WTH! it's so attractive. free study. get salary as a student and i've a job waiting for me at the end of the day. why not.
but i think i will still stick with my NUS choice eventually. because i really don't wanna plunge into a profession that i'm really not confident in sticking to it for the rest of my life. being a teacher is no easy task (not like any other job is la) but seriously, i wouldn't wanna regret my choice just for the money ): so sad but yarh. and in any way if i realise that i wanna teach i can still do it after getting my life sciences degree at NUS or after a few years of lab work. right?
HAIX. so yeah i think i will give up this offer very reluctantly ):
anyway, i'm craving for doughnuts from Donut Factory. anybody want to queue for me? HAHAHAH.

i looooove this song! but i don't have it because i can't find it. i'm so sad i can only listen to it on Youtube. lol. anybody who has this song please send it to meeeee! *pitiful look* hahah. i'm still finding it.
ANYWAY, i've decided to do the 6 weird things about me since Ellyne tagged me looong ago and i haven't done it. so here goes!
1. i loooove Durian Cream Puffs & Durian Cakes but i don't like to eat the fruit by itself.
2. i adore Korean actors & singers but i'd prefer Japanese language & Culture. in fact i'm damn happy because my mummy has this "Learn Jap" book so i'm self-learning basic conversational jap now. i actually learnt Hiragana already. wahooo!
3. sometimes i'd like a game of Sudoku before i go to bed. it makes my brain tired enough to sleeep. heh.
4. i like to take the long way (aka walking along the main road) to get to Queensway Shopping Centre or Ikea with my iPod on although it takes me only 2minutes if i go by Ikea's Back Entrance.
5. i usually like to paint my fingernails and not my toenails.
6. i loooove the iced milk tea from MOS BURGER, without milk. (ie. plain teh-o) HAHAH.
so are they weird enough?

well well, jingx said i should update my blog. so here it is! lol.
anyway i went to Hotel Rendezvous with my dad's side for belated mothers' day dinner just now! woahh it was super sinful and the spread was rather good. whats the best is that they had this dark chocolate fondue fountain running so my cousin and i kept going back to that for dessert! HEAVEN! the dinner also served a very good purpose of catching up with cousins i don't get to see for months too. heh.
okay i know the chocolate-coated stuff looks quite gross. we were greedy so we coated the whole thing with chocolate. HAHAH but you know, chocolate is kinda irresistable (:
that was what i wore to the dinner. lol. i'm sorry i'm so zilian :X
i think the mirror is the next coolest thing in my room apart from the windows :D
on a side note, meet my prince. HAHAH.
jingx said he looked damn qian bian. since when la! he's sooo damn cute! i think korean dramas are a bad influence to me. it tends to make me raise the expectations of a perfect boyfriend. it's true! LOL.

anyway, i've made my choice. i've chosen my path. it's done. and i'm pretty sure i won't regret my choice.
now i have a goal! i must work doubly hard when i'm in there not only to get an Honours but also be eligible for their SEP (Student Exchange Programme) in my 2nd year. damn. i want it!
and just thought i should add in this part of the convo i had with ellyne. lol!

wahahah. come to think of it. i've really been doing science my whole life. and i can foresee more of it. wonder why when i was young i used to have the impression that those who do science are geeky. what crap! now i guess i've to admit that i'm quite a geek too then. hahah!

Jing Xiu and I went on our long-postponed expedition at 10am today.
Commonwealth MRT -> Bedok Bus Interchange (196) -> Marine Terrace -> Underpass -> East Coast Park -> City Hall
it lasted for a whole of EIGHT HOURS and i am EXHAUSTED! we were lucky to find the underpass to East Coast quite quickly and we got the BEST rate ever! $5 for 2Bikes, 2hours & free 2 bottles of water. been ages since i cycled. feels gooooood! (:
i'm so proud of myself (and jingxiu too!) because WE QUEUED FOR DONUTS FROM DONUT FACTORY! and we got them. woohoooo! it took us TWO HOURS to get that box of donuts. oh goodness. but we were there at a weird timing so i guess the queue wasn't that torturous. some of the aunties were telling us that they've queued FIVE HOURS just for the donuts! afterall it's all worth it. i get to try the donuts and i must say they are good. yummm. i guess i'll eventually go back for more. it's only when as each time is really straining. both mentally & physically. the Never-Give-Up spirit for STUPID donuts that taste so good. but it's pure satisfaction. I REGRETTED NOT GETTING A DOZEN ):

Spidey was awesome! especially when i watched it in 4K digital. clear as crystal. woohoo. Harry Osborn was so cute. but he died. WHY.. ): lol.

especially appropriate at this point in time when everyone's thinking of which path they wanna take, which university to accept and all :D
i'm so sad i tried renewing Amy Tan's Joy Luck Club at Queenstown Library this afternoon and i can't because apparently books are only allowed to renew once only ): ahh it was the last book i'm reading out of the 4 i borrowed and i'm only half way through it! tried to find it in Queenstown Library but they don't have it. urghhh! i concluded Orchard Library has more new books. hahah.
anyway i had Mothers' Day dinner in advance with my mum's side today. since it coincides with my cousin's 11th birthday tmr, we bought her a cake to cut. lol!

this is my HUNDREDTH POST for blogspot! muahaha. i guess i'm starting to get used to using blogspot after my diary-x crashed. damn.
ANYWAY, I LOVE WEDNESDAYS! because my favourite documentary is showing tonight! it's called Planet Earth. it's the most expensive documentary ever made and i can understand why after watching it. they get to places where people don't or can't go, even explorers. and they find & film the most amazing and bizzare things on Earth which you don't even know exist! Planet Earth really has wonders. last week was on Caves & this week's on Deserts. for that 1hour show i'm willing to give up my 3hours of computer. lol! but well i guess not everybody will like it la. it's a documentary afterall. it may be boring for some of you. if you wanna catch it, it's on Arts Central every Wednesday 10pm (:
